What we collect
When you list or request a bicycle, we collect the contact information and listing details you provide. This can include your first name, email address, suburb, postcode, bicycle photos, description, verification records, short-lived sign-in records and private collection messages.
What stays private
Your email address is not displayed publicly. We do not ask for or publish your street address. Exact collection details are arranged only after a giver accepts a request.
How we use information
We use it to operate the exchange, verify email addresses, provide secure My Bikes access, connect givers and recipients, respond to reports, prevent misuse and understand whether bicycles are being successfully rehomed.
Photos
Please remove faces, number plates, house numbers and other identifying details from photos. Photos are resized in your browser and location metadata is removed before upload.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers. We may share information where required by law or needed to address fraud, theft or an immediate safety risk. My Bikes sign-in links expire after 30 minutes. Listings expire after 30 days unless renewed. People may delete a listing and its private data from the secure management page.

You can ask us to correct or remove associated personal information by emailing team@recycleyourbicycle.com.au.
